In December 2015, my wife Tina and I traveled to the Dominican Republic to attend the wedding of our friends John and Steph. John and I met in college in 1999 and bonded over our mutual love of music and being the only two guys in school who wore nail polish. We discovered photography together, and he, Tina, and I spent a good chunk of the early 2000s discussing cameras/music/life while driving around Baltimore in John's vintage purple 1969 Volkswagen Beetle convertible (and occasionally on the side of the road repairing said Beetle).

Burkittsville, Maryland
In early April I went on a one-night camping trip with some of my coworkers in the woods near Burkittsville, MD. Probably most well-known for its role in the 1999 "found footage" film The Blair Witch Project, Burkittsville (during the daylight hours, at least) is quite picturesque. I stopped for a few minutes on the way to and from the campsite to grab a couple of shots.
